We are seeking an Assistant SENDCo to join our team at Kings International College, part of Bourne Education Trust.
In support of the SENDCo, you will be responsible for the effective delivery of the SEND provision within the school ensuring the promotion of education and wellbeing of all pupils, the development of positive relationships with parents and external professionals, supporting high standards of achievement and progress for all pupils.

Position: Assistant SENDCo
Contract: Term time, permanent
Hours: 36 hours per week, 39 weeks per year (Mon - Fri, 8.00am - 4pm)
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: £28,865 FTE, actual salary £30,766

Key responsibilities include:
Monitor quality of SEND support by establishing effective systems to identify and meet the needs of pupils
Provide opportunities for continuing professional development for relevant staff, including leading staff training where appropriate
Performance and Line Management of Teaching Assistants as appropriate
Requirements include:
Essential
Ability to demonstrate an awareness, understanding and commitment to the protection and safeguarding of children
Experience in supporting a SEND department
